About Rachel

I’m a licensed independent clinical social worker in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire, specializing in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I work collaboratively with individuals age 15+ to build practical, evidence-based tools for managing anxiety, OCD, social anxiety, panic, phobias, and related challenges.

In addition to anxiety-focused care, I also support individuals navigating depression, eating disorders, trauma, and difficult life transitions. I have specialized experience treating body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), such as skin picking and hair pulling, through Habit Reversal Training (HRT) and Comprehensive Behavioral (ComB).

My approach is grounded in humility, resilience, and a strong commitment to effective, research-backed methods. I believe that therapy should be personalized, collaborative, and empowering. With warmth, compassion, and a bit of humor and creativity, I aim to create a safe space where we can work through life’s challenges together—at your pace, and in a way that fits your unique path.

Specialties

Anxiety

Anxiety or excessive worrying can impact your ability to fully be present and live your life. I have helped people with generalized anxiety, social anxiety, as well as phobias. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help learn how to change your thoughts and behaviors to better serve you.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

OCD can be a debilitating mental illness causing intrusive thoughts, doubts, images, and/or urges and physical and mental compulsions. I have worked with many different OCD themes including contamination, harm, sexual, just right/perfectionism, religious/moral scrupulosity, superstitious, relationship, health, somatic, real event, false memory, and others. I use Exposure Response Prevention, which is scientifically proven to help individuals struggling overcome and find relief from their suffering.

Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors

BFRBs are compulsive behaviors focused on the body including skin picking, hair pulling, nail biting, and bone cracking to name a few. These can be really distressing and feel like they are out of your control. I use Habit Reversal Training and ComB to provide you tools to recognize your triggers and find alternative coping mechanisms.
